This year’s awards ceremony marked a return to its traditional ritual, with Australia’s best and most respected designers attending a gala dinner at the Sydney Grand Hyatt. The award’s industry-leading program comes through a partnership between the Design Institute of Australia and Artichoke Magazine. Calling Clare Cousins Architects’ project “sublime in every way,” the jury applauded the practice for its innate understanding of design, creating a home that takes into account “how people live in space.”
