Zrobim Architects: a loft for a bachelor

The apartment of 120 sq. meters is located on the top floor of a modern residential complex. The dominant feature of the interior is a large panoramic window spanning the entire height of the wall, which overlooks the industrial area. The industrial theme smoothly moved into the interior of the space. The main task in developing the project for the Zrobim Architects team was to create a harmonious combination of brutal rough materials and modern interior solutions.

The designers divided the five-meter-high hall into two levels, thus increasing the total area. The customer of the project is a young man who leads an active lifestyle. He needed such an interior that in the future could be transformed from a bachelor’s apartment into a space for a comfortable family life. For example, the room at the entrance, which currently serves as an office, may become a nursery in the future.

On the second level is the customer’s bedroom, overlooking the city. You can go upstairs via a spectacular open staircase. The original space was a good fit for creating an American loft feel. The metal elements of the structures were complemented by rough textures of brick and concrete and diluted with warm shades of natural wood. To preserve the texture of the concrete, all wiring was done in an open way. Braided wires are led to each lamp and form a beautiful graphic pattern on the ceiling.

The monochrome palette reflects the overall concept of the project. One of the main accents in the apartment was a non-standard five-meter cassette door to the guest room. White color and a contrasting minimalistic handle visually make the space appear higher, and the modern coffered mechanism allows you to smoothly open and close the door.

The furniture was selected based on the wishes and lifestyle of the customer, who often spends time away from home. So, there is no dining table in the apartment, but the kitchen island performs its function. It can also be used as a cooking surface and bar counter. Another solution that visually unloads the space is cabinets with transparent glass doors and lighting.
