Updated design of the Milan concept store 10 Corso Como

The transformation of the iconic Milanese space was carried out by the creative collective 2050+, co-founded by a former partner of the OMA studio, architect Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli. As part of the first phase of the concept store renovation, the team reimagined the Gallery and Project Room areas, creating an immersive experience for future visitors. Thus, the team itself compares its concept to a “flexible theatre”: due to the predominantly raw surfaces and industrial materials, the interior refers to the industrial past of the building, while multifunctional elements allow you to change the configuration of the premises and adapt them to different purposes. The designers visually “cleared” the space, opening up access to light and air. In addition, the team viewed the interior of 10 Corso Como as a creative ecosystem:  “The new identity of the concept store constantly challenges the relationship between people and architectural elements,” says the team.
