The House with an area of 73.4 sq. meters is located in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The customers, a young couple with two daughters, bought it ready-made some time ago, but after living in it for a short time, they turned to designer Svetlana Svetlitskaya. Inside the glulam building with a pretty façade was a featureless, 00s-inspired interior, complete with a purple-colored kitchen. They decided to remake only the first floor, while in the bedrooms they worked only with decor. The project also integrates the “smart home” system.
The customers’ love for Scandinavian dachas set the vector for the entire project. It was decided to maintain the aesthetics of a wooden house, get away from inappropriate colors and update the interior so that the house becomes a place of strength and relaxation.
“The palette was dictated by the image of the customers and their homes, we wanted each color to give a certain charge of emotions,” says the designer. To create the interior, we used a natural range with its inherent contrasts. Instead of bright colors, they relied on textures and their combinations: raw linen with a smooth painted surface, and warm wood with natural stone.
A bright turmeric sofa is the protagonist of the project, creating an atmosphere of peace and warmth throughout the space. The same mood is supported by vintage decor, a collection of books. Another central item was the Market Set chandelier, delivered from Paris.
With pride, the designer talks about the bathroom, which is made in microconcrete. It is reminiscent of the bathrooms in the rooms of coastal hotels in Greece and sets you up for relaxation.
