The good news: you can assemble the dining group in parts, and not spend money on the whole set at once. In our selection of interiors, where different shapes, colors, materials, and styles are intertwined around one table.
1. Laconic dining area
In this small dining area, such harmonious calm shades were used that the various chairs are not at all striking. At the same time, it is precisely this difference that makes the dining room boring. Behind a wooden table are two similar chairs in different shades of wood and two very different ones – white metal and plastic gray. This palette plays beautifully against the backdrop of olive walls. A variety of shapes, materials, and colors seems to be a great alternative to ready-made dining groups – something new, fresh, and modern.
2. Spacious dining room with vintage table
If the previous interior is the epitome of balance and restraint, then this one is a completely different story. The dining area is built on the principle of contrast. In the center is an old massive table made of wood with a worn surface. And around it are plastic chairs of green and gray shades that are different in style. Due to the simple base of white walls and a wooden floor, such an experiment does not look redundant, but cool and unusual.
3. Dining room in the spirit of country classics
It is not so easy to fit an ensemble of different chairs into more conservative interior styles – for example, classic ones: some rigor is still required. However, in this classic-inspired dining room with country touches, two sets were combined: a pair of chairs with an upholstered seat and back and a set of four wooden ones with a cross-back. Dark wood looks especially noble against the white background of the room. The table was also chosen white, thereby also violating the traditional concept of the unity of the table and seats.
4. Mini dining room
This dining nook immediately draws attention with a stylish wall gallery – bright images in different frames. To maintain this eclecticism, but not to overload the space, the hostess picked up two pairs of different chairs: two velour semi-chairs and two with a rattan seat. Pay attention to how different their legs are: dark brown, black, metal, and light wood. This is not striking and does not spoil the impression, so if you were afraid of this in your kitchen, you can follow this example and give up perfectionism. The unifying element of the dining area is the carpet on the floor .
5. Dining area for six
This room is filled with light and colors. The dining area is again assembled on the carpet, in the middle there is a loft-style rectangular table. The seats are selected in different silhouettes and colors: green, pink, and yellow. There are other small details in bright colors too, so the colored chairs fit in perfectly. The result is playful: the loft table no longer looks so brutal in this environment. Geometric pendant lamps of juicy yellow color also play their role – like little suns.
6. Cozy dining room
This cozy dining room looks beautiful with or without a tablecloth. An interesting laconic decor, a well-built calm palette, and, of course, a deliberate violation of harmony due to different chairs. They did not play with colors – they chose milky and brown shades. Thanks to this decision, the dining area does not look catchy, but not fresh either. The entire decor in the room is in the same beige and white tones.
7. Dining room as an art object
Let’s be honest – it is the large white table in the center of the room that immediately grabs all the attention. Unusual, streamlined shape, with a thick base and a glossy surface. It would be strange to arrange a set of identical chairs around such a furniture art object. Therefore, the owner of the apartment took a different path, picking up four different chairs: wicker, white leather on a metal frame and two plastic ones: transparent and red. The result is in the spirit of contemporary art. The non-standard group is supported by lamps of unusual shapes, bright abstract posters, and light walls are, as usual, an ideal backdrop for such experiments.
8. Unusual dining area
This kitchen-living room is conditionally divided into three functional parts: a place to relax, a kitchen, and of course, a dining room. The latter takes up little space but does not go unnoticed. A simple technique – chairs of the same shape, but different colors. Shades, although not flashy, but the combination of orange, green, blue, and olive is quite bold in any case. Due to him, the chairs do not look like a set and perfectly support the bright environment around them.
