The Italian furniture brand presented a limited edition of its iconic Vanity Fair chair, created in collaboration with Fornasetti. The 50-piece Vanity Fair XC Imagine Reality is part of Poltrona Frau’s first Imagine collection this year and features monochrome upholstery with recognizable astronomical motifs. Archival drawings of a sun with a human face, moon and clouds were drawn by Piero Fornasetti in the 1950s and later interpreted by his son and current company director Barnaba Fornasetti. The hand-drawn illustrations were transferred with maximum precision onto the three-dimensional object thanks to advanced silk-screen printing technology, which is commonly used in the fashion industry to create leather accessories.
