The house of Lelièvre revives the Quenin brand: the brand’s archival materials became the source of inspiration for the first collection presented during Paris Design Week. The Quenin manufactory was founded in 1865 in Lyon under the name Quenin & Cartallier and became Quenin already in 1891. In 1973 it was acquired by Lelièvre – along with the centuries-old skills and secrets of craftsmanship that served as a source of inspiration for the house’s collections for many years.
In 2023, Lelièvre creative director Ingrid Lager developed the first updated collection for the brand, where classic motifs received a new interpretation. Jacquard, prints, voluminous embroidery, and bold shades – the new line equally mixes the heritage of the past and current trends. Maison Lelièvre has set itself the task of embodying the brand’s DNA in the collection and showing what its future will be, but the main source of inspiration for the creative team remains the years of creation of the brand – the French Belle Époque.
