The organizers of the anniversary competition for young designers, which takes place as part of the international furniture exhibition Imm Cologne, received more than 1,000 applications from 76 countries. This year the Pure Talents Contest is being held for the 20th time: traditionally, its finalists will have the opportunity to present their projects at the event in January. Following the new concept of the competition, a jury of five representatives from the design industry from around the world evaluated objects and interior concepts in three categories: lifestyle in cities with limited space; lifestyle in a sustainable society; and lifestyle as a message, statement and concept. Of the works of 893 authors, 12 were shortlisted – on the eve of the opening of the exhibition, experts will again evaluate the selected projects and select three winners, each of whom will receive a prize of €1,000.
