Artist Emmanuelle Moureaux created the immersive installation “100 Flowers No. 50” in Tokyo in collaboration with the jewelry brand Bulgari. A series of joint projects with contemporary authors is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Serpenti collection. Infinite Tales Exhibition is a colorful maze that seems to go on forever.
The theme of infinity is also connected with the symbol of the collection – the snake. The space invites you to plunge into the world of emotions and walk through a labyrinth of multi-colored Roman numerals written on transparent acrylic panels. One hundred shades replace each other, forcing visitors to experience a constant transformation of space.
Emmanuelle Moureaux, a French architect, artist, and designer, has lived in Japan since 1996. She started the 100 Flowers series in 2013 and is currently continuing to work on it. Emmanuelle expresses her emotions and feelings through color – so, she wanted to convey in shades her impressions of her first visit to Tokyo in 1995. “When I first came to Tokyo, I was completely fascinated by the colors of the streets,” she says. Shop signs, neon, wires, and blue sky framed by buildings – all this created an amazing multi-dimensional picture. Immersive installations allow visitors to live this experience and feel the shades almost physically.
