Line+ Studio built an observation deck on top of a hill in Shenzhen

The structure, called Yunhai Forest Service Station, is located in the hilly Banshan Park, overlooking the green landscape, city, and nearby seaport. The key task for the Chinese architects Line+ Studio was to create a location that would be popular among local residents and contribute to the development of the park. The three floors of the structure house common areas, a café, meeting spaces, a bookstore and outdoor terraces. Visitors to the center can move between levels via a zigzag staircase, which also serves as a striking visual element of the design. The architects used concrete and stainless steel as the main materials: thanks to them, the exterior and interior of the building seem to merge together.
