The Freedom Plaza project, planned for the East River waterfront, includes the Museum of Freedom and Democracy, as well as a hotel, residential units, commercial space, restaurants and an entertainment center. The high-rise buildings created by the team of the Danish studio are surrounded by a public green area, the development of which is the responsibility of landscape architects OJB. All structures will be located in accordance with the orthogonal street network of New York. Thanks to their laconic glass and aluminum facades, their appearance is reminiscent of the city’s famous modernist buildings. The distinctive element of the project will be the unusual design of the hotel: it consists of two towers with a warm metal finish, which connect at the top, forming a cantilevered bridge with an observation deck inside.
