The project of this apartment in a Siberian city with a population of one million was developed for a young bachelor, a charismatic and successful businessman. He loves simplicity and conciseness, discreet range, functionality, and natural materials, so designer Olga Melnikova chose a style for this interior, that she called “eco-minimalism”.

Initially, the apartment had an isolated kitchen and living rooms. The designer combined them and increased the area of the bathroom due to the corridor. The apartment is divided into two zones: a common one, which includes a living room with a soft sofa group and a TV, a kitchen with an island and a dining area, and a private one, which consists of a bedroom, a personal dressing room, and a large bathroom.

The residential complex in which the customer purchased an apartment stands on the banks of the river in a picturesque coniferous forest. Therefore, the view from the windows and the beauty of natural, natural shades formed the basis of the design project. “I wanted to use natural wood in the maximum number of surfaces,” says Olga. “This is how natural parquet, a kitchen made of veneer, and a bathroom made of porcelain stoneware with a wood-like texture appeared in the apartment.”

In addition to wood, other natural textures were also used in the project, such as cut stone and sandstone. Coziness brings a variety of textiles: linen, cotton, and woolen fabrics. And in order to add brutality, contrast, and “masculine charisma” to the interior, the designer added black metal, which can be seen here in the lamps, finishes, and decor details.

Each room has different lighting scenarios. This provides a special comfort: the atmosphere in the room can be adjusted to the mood or a specific time of day. The apartment also has a large walk-in closet for shared storage and a guest bathroom with a washer and dryer.
